It’s a 501 c 3 non-profit that relies on donors to sponsor a Kenyan student’s school fees but when sponsors simply cannot give anymore, the shop has been able to cover them. The shop been able to support clean water projects, soccer tournaments, and a new endeavor is job creation through One Life to Give.

We buy directly from artisans in Kenya

Makers in rural Kenya are eager to work but often lack the start-up funding or outlet for their creations so we have loved working with soapstone carvers and brass workers through the years since we have seen how it empowers them to take care of their family.
